The Law of 3

Weekly Teaching Tip – Apr. 3, 2017

Sometimes as teachers we exercise patience backwards. We can sometimes linger on a exercise too long when a student is having a hard time doing it right, and are sometimes too quick to move on once they get it right. I know that I need to remind myself frequently of the Law of 3. If a student does not perform an exercise right after 3 times, it’s time to move on. However, if you have been working on one they finally get right, let them feel it at least 3 times or more before moving on.
